Joy, how to get it?

Practicing joy will release your personality. It will set free your God given powers, increase your health and stimulate your enthusiasm. If joy is given to us by God to teach us how to be alive, released, free from conflicts and to be in harmony with God, life and others, then we must discover how to obtain and maintain it.

The first step is simple, learn to think joy. Remember what you think about over a long period of time you will begin to live that way. Upon awakening each morning practice joyful thinking. This is done by passing through your mind a series of joyful thoughts. Next, talk joy! "This is the day the Lord has made I will rejoice and be glad in it". You will become what you think and affirm. Think joy, talk joy, act joy and you will become a joyful person.

The person whose mind has long been packed with gloomy thoughts and negative attitudes may find this very difficult at first. Your mind may try to block you in your desire to become a joyful person. If you are determined to improve yourself, your mind will soon be controlled by you instead of controlling you.

Throughout the day pass the memory of joyful experiences that you have had through your thoughts. Dwell upon them, relive them, and immerse your entire thought process in the most moving and uplifting experiences you have ever had.
